Our new destination for the winter retreat is The Barothy Lodge at 7478 E Barothy Rd. Walhalla, Michigan.
You’ll be right on the Pere Marquette River. A premier trout stream, with winter catch and release fishing available if you feel so inclined. It’s steelhead season. 😉
We have reserved the cabin called The Turkey.

It offers sleeping for 10, has a pool table, hot tub, full kitchen for us to prepare our meals. Enjoy beautiful views of the Pere Marquette River, or take a hike on the paths or try snowshoeing or cross country skiing. You can even book your own float with local guides and do winter fly fishing. For a full description of the lodge and the activities, follow the link above.
Our speaker, Marleah Clockman, will share information and tips on Bass fly fishing. We will learn to
tie flies that the bass slurp up. Sure to have you prepared for bass fly fishing in 2017.
Learn how to make REAL vanilla and take it home to age. A simple wire wrap up and a glass bottle and you have a one of a kind bud vase.
Your cost for the two night stay, food, fly tying and crafts is $195.00 per person. If you want to reserve a spot, you’ll need to send Joy a check in the amount of $100, made payable to Flygirls of Michigan at 8659 Johnson Road, Kaleva MI
49645. Also, if you have a preference of roommate please let her know. Any questions, please contact me at Joy@spectero.net. Looking forward to a new adventure.
