On the Water & Beyond

Flygirls regularly schedules fly fishing outings throughout Michigan, along with occasional trips beyond state lines. Our events offer opportunities to explore new waters, build skills, and enjoy time on the water together.

We also host educational classes covering casting, fly tying, insect identification, knots and rigging, rod building, and other aspects of the sport. Outings often focus on trout, panfish, smallmouth bass, steelhead, and salmon. While most trips are recreational, instruction and mentorship are usually available.

In addition to fishing events, Flygirls offers quiet retreats where women gather to share skills related to fly fishing, crafts, art, and inspirational topics. Our members range from beginners to seasoned anglers, and all are welcome.
