Au Sable River Outing
The Flygirls will return to Wa Wa Sum Lodge for this much loved Annual Au Sable River Outing on the banks of the ―Holy Waters, in Grayling, MI.
This outing will focus on the Au Sable River system in the Grayling and Lovells areas, cover river history, fly patterns an fishing access to the main, south and north branches of the Au Sable river. There will be plenty of time for fishing, tying a few
flies or kicking back in one of the rocking chairs on the back porch overlooking the river.
Bring your fishing photos and stories to share your experiences with other Flygirls. All attendees must be current on your FFI (FFF) membership to attend this outing. If you are not sure of your membership status, please contact our membership chair
The cost for the outing is $150.00 and includes 3 nights lodging, breakfast each morning, and 2 dinners. Sleeping arrangements are dorm style so bring your own bedding or sleeping bag plus towels. We will have the use of refrigeration if needed and you are welcome to bring food and adult beverages. I will send out a packing list and maps after registration is closed.
The hatches are great in June so plan to fish your waders off. We also highly recommend these local guide services in the area (this is NOT included in the trip cost). I will start of list of those who would like to float with someone else and trip to help pair up Flygirls.
